What is a Taster/Interview Day and why is it mandatory?
Our taster/interview days allow prospective students to learn about the training courses we offer and to understand what is required to become a qualified and registered counsellor or psychotherapist using the arts.

What happens at a Taster Day event?
The day will begin with a brief welcome followed by a film about IATE from our founding director. This film includes what it means to work therapeutically with the arts with actual case material from working with a child and adult.

You will then learn about the courses we offer so you with the opportunity to ask questions with one of our senior staff members.
After a well deserved break attendees will be split in to smaller groups. You will attend experiential workshops using the arts facilitated by members of our teaching staff.
The day will end with group interviews, this is an opportunity for us to find out more about you and your goals so we can ensure we find the right course for you.
