A DAY WITH WORLD-LEADING EXPERT DR BESSEL VAN DER KOLK

Many of us here at the Institute were excited to attend the fantastic conference with Dr Bessel Van Der Kolk, world-leading researcher and clinician on trauma and traumatic stress. Hosted by our sister organisation the Centre for Child Mental Health, Van Der Kolk explored how the long-term effects of extreme stress on brain, body and attachment systems can be effectively healed by a whole range of interventions. Such a fantastic day and certainly one of the highlights of 2018. For those who missed it, do look out here and on the CCMH website for more amazing talks by preeminent psychotherapists and clinicians.
