Following the announcement by the UK government of a National Lockdown from 5 November to 2 December the Institute would like to reach out to all students with IATE’s procedural policy.
Lockdown measures, if approved, will be voted into law in the UK on 4 November. As it stands, proposals are to keep educational institutions operating in their former capacity. Therefore, IATE will remain open as usual.
We want to reassure you that we will continue to follow the existing timetabling, in which some teaching will be face-face, according to the safest measures possible. Most non-essential face-face teaching has already been moved online, and we still have in place virtual learning for students to join sessions if they are unable to come into the building. We ask that you look out for direct correspondence with your Academic Officer regarding any changes to what is currently timetabled on specific courses. If you are unable to attend the teaching as it is planned for November, please contact your Academic Officer and confirm in writing to ‘This email address is being protected from spambots.
